I’m confused by what you mean when you say that Stop & Shop’s weekly spending program is going to track my puchases and give me a certain percentage off. Is this a new program? I’ve been on vacation (out of state) for a few weeks, so maybe I just didn’t hear about a new program. Could you explain it?
Hm, it actually looks like a store-by-store promotion; some stores are featuring it as the back flap of their circular; other stores are highlighting a “Buy these, get $3.00 back” sort of deal; others are promoting gas bargains.
This is the first I’ve seen it in my circular as well, but I’ve taken the past week and a half off myself! I do know that Stop & Shop often is highly localized with their promotions–my mother has the best one I’ve heard of in her area–for every $100 she spends, she gets a $10 gift card! But no other Stop & Shop in my area has ever heard of such a thing, unfortunately for me.
In my area, it’s just that they’re tracking what you spend, and for each “increment” you spend until July 23 (the $250, etc.), you’ll get a corresponding percentage off coupon that you can use until about mid-August. Hope that clears everything up!
Where can I find the coupons to use with the purchases? What does the SS and the RP mean? Thanks a lot for your help.
Hi Madie,
If you look on the sidebar on the right, you’ll see under “Match-Up Birthplaces” where I list out the codes: the coupons are from the Sunday paper (unless they’re a “printable”…if that’s the case, I’ve either added the link at the top of the post (like for Shaws), or I’ve listed the site (i.e. coupons.com) next to the coupon.)
The most coupons are in the “big” paper like the Boston Globe or the NH Union Leader, and the SS, RP, etc. stand for the insert names that can be found within them. SS is for the Smart Source insert(s), and RP is for the Red Plum. The dates are the date of the paper those coupons are found in. Hope that helps &thanks for stopping by!
Kat
Thanks! That does help. The area we live in is rural enough that we don’t actually get flyers in our mailbox, so I’ll have to stop by the store and pick one up to see what the scoop is here.
The Stop & Shop we shop at used to give the $10 coupon when you spent $100, but now it’s $10 when you spend $200 + gas credits.
Thank you very much.
Oh good, I’m glad!
I’ve had my own problems getting circulars–I used to get them just fine, but my post office has stopped delivering them except for extremely random intervals. I have to go pick them up too!
Good luck & hope you have a good deal where you are.
